FRANKIE MURRAY OF SWELL VINTAGE DESIGNS A COSTUME JEWEL NECKLACE FOR ADORN LONDON TO COMMEMORATE THE ROYAL WEDDING
The Royal Wedding necklace
"When I told people that I was making a necklace to celebrate the Royal Wedding, every response I got was exactly the same – “oh right, is it going to have a crown in it?” Although it was tempting to go with a more blatant interpretation of royalty when creating this piece, in the end I decided to take a more subtle approach. I found these striking vintage blue stones on one of my salvaging missions, and decided they would make a perfect centrepiece – not only is it a royal colour, but it could also be Kate’s ‘something blue’! To really make the colour pop and give the necklace an extra luxury feel, I added beautiful and perfectly formed freshwater pearls. Although I mainly used vintage parts, I wanted the necklace to have a modern feel – the asymmetric look is really on trend for this season, and I like how it gives a quirky feel to my designs. This necklace isn’t just right for a bride – it’s fit for a future Queen!"

I would wear jewellery in sapphire and diamonds as they are my favourite jewels.
An opal pendant as an opal signifies change.
To celebrate the Royal Wedding I have organised a truelly British tea party. As the (hopegfully!) Glamorous Hostess I will be wearing a crimson lace tea dress styled with a floral ring and my Nan’s old tiny pearl necklace!
I will wear a Cameo of a lady’s head necklace.
I would wear simple pearl drop earrings and a pearl bracelet with many rows tied with a royal blue silk ribbon, with two tiny hearts hanging from ribbon ends
I still love pearls for a good wedding, always looks classy.
I’d wear understated bling – my Butler & Wilson watch with its patriotic crown design surrounded with crystals
I would wear the Alexander McQueen Brass skull and cherry blossom necklace because it would be by the same fashion house as the brides dress, and also its very beautiful and delicate.. just like the bride

something twinkly
I would wear a gorgeously chunky teal and vintage gold chain necklace I have that goes perfectly with my teal net tea dress, perfect for a wedding!
I would wear pearls and diamonds with a pretty floral dress
If I was at the Royal Wedding, I’d be on the wrong side of the barriers, so would wear the bare minimum (wedding and engagement rings), if I was actually invited, that would be a different story – a visit to your shop first, methinks.
I would wear a gorgeous + understated piece of Welsh Clogau gold (one, because I am Welsh and proud, 2, because the royal couple will be the future prince and princess of Wales and 3, following and in-keeping with the tradition of Royal Brides wearing a Clogau gold wedding ring). I would choose to wear. I would choose the Windsor Cariad Ring
I would wear classic pearls, understated elegance!

I would wear the lime green Bow earrings my Marc Jacobs – perfect for a summer Wedding and standing out in a crowd!
I would wear my sapphire and diamond earrings and necklace to match my engagement ring which is also sapphire and diamonds and looks like Kates except I had mine back in 1985.
I would wear the delicate diamond necklace and earrings that my husband bought for rme on our 25th anniversary – they’re kept in a box far too much..I should wear them more often and the Royal wedding day would be an ideal opportunity !
I would have to go with pearls all the way – preferably a layered mixture of black and white, I do love my monochrome, so chic!
This necklace is stunning by the way – Miss Frankie is indeed the best when it comes to re-working vintage jewels
