LBD & ME
The fourth post in our style series on Adorn London is based around Olympichic, a SS12 jewellery trend highlighted on our Trends page. The idea behind the LBD & Me series, is to show you how jewellery can transform an outfit and how the same LBD can be accessorised differently to reflect a different mood or look. With the Olympics in London opening in just 86 days time, it seems appropriate to get that wardrobe in line.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Pea coat, Pucci’s pink python hand bag and Reed Krakoff’s yellow wedges immediately update the style wardrobe and take our LBD to the starting blocks… but to finish, we need the jewels.

EASY STEP-BY-STEP:

1.Take the same simple black dress and decide on the colour palette to support the theme. In the case of Olympichic, think speedy brights and bolts of vibrant colour pop hues.

2.
Look at the four main jewellery categories: Earrings, Neckwear, Wristwear and Rings and make sure your complement includes at least two of these pieces.

3.Think about the materials and colour ways in your jewellery repetoire that will support your look.

In keeping with our trend for the week, the neon brights in our clothing choices need to be reflected in our jewels. Tom Binns ‘Dot/Dash’ earrings, Bex Rox statement neon chord metal cuff and Hattie Rickard’s neon enamel ‘Strata’ ring are just the jewels to bring Olympic style and sporting chic right to your jewellery wardrobe. Your LBD will never look the same again… ready for the race?
