Georg Jensen’s Flagship Store in London officially opens its doors tonight celebrating with a cocktail party for the jewellery world’s aficionados. The new boutique on London’s Mount Street follows the recent boutique openings in The Royal Exchange, Westfield’s luxury retail hub The Village, and concessions with Selfridges Wonder Room and Harrods silverware department.
Conceived by Danish interior architect David Thulstrup, the Mount Street boutique offers a gallery-like environment for the complete Georg Jensen collection. The use of natural materials, such as marble and warm slatted wood and the clean lines of Scandinavian minimalism, mixed with metallic Art Deco touches, provides the perfect backdrop to the brands design aesthetic.
Amongst the iconic Georg Jensen designs we are more familiar with in silver, a newly launched premium-end gold jewellery collection is showcased on the ground floor, as well as a new and dedicated men’s offering. As a nod to the brands strong heritage, vintage silverware and jewellery are showcased downstairs, alongside signature hollowware pieces, silver gifts, silver cutlery.
For a full Georg Jensen experience, head down to Mount Street and immerse yourself in the wonders of Danish design.
