SS12 catwalk trends and the spring/summer accessories in my living room seem to have a few things in common: the sunflower and Van Gogh inspiration reflected in my fresh pickings and my daughter’s own (unfinished) attempt at the Dutch artist’s original are not far off Rodarte’s SS12 inspiration. The lush greens as seen on the catwalks of Caroline Herrera’s mannequins are mirrored in my jewel-tone, pressed glass charity shop treasures. My 80s acid yellow Habitat vase and golden sunflowers point to the bright yellow colour pops as seen at Oscar de la Renta, Ruffian and Vera Wang SS12. So all in all, I am not sure I am ready to change my living room just yet!
