It was February and around 10pm in Venice. We’d been wandering round the winding streets and came across an ice cream parlour, tucked away in a tiny street. We bought one ice cream each – mine was a wonderful combination of a scoop of orange and a scoop of rich dark chocolate ice cream. We walked a little further and came out to a small bridge overlooking, near the Rialto. The lights shining on the water and bridge were beautiful. And it was an amazing way to eat the tastiest ice cream I’ve ever had.

Now, when I think of having ice cream when it’s cold, I think back to that evening, walking with my lovely husband, in a beautiful city, eating the most marvellous ice cream; nothing can beat it

I had my best ice- cream as a teenager, on holiday in Rimini, Italy. The sun was shining, weather wonderfully warm. We had a huge ice – cream sundae each at an open – air restaurant. The glass dish seemed huge, and contained a variety of colourful delicious ice- creams and fruits.

It was 45 degrees in Malia with my boyfriend on our first holiday, Ferrero Roche Ice cream in a huge cone. He made me share and we had to scoff the lot in minutes before it melted everywhere! Best holiday and definitely the best ice cream EVER!

My best ice cream was definitely in Rome. It was beautiful weather and I was eating this amazing pistachio ice cream whilst walking up the Palatine Hill with the hotest Kiwi tour guide imaginable (who was also an expert on classical art and architecture!). In fact, it’s amazing that I never dropped my icecream walking up the hill! ;-o

Not very exotic but Bournemouth beach lol ! When I was a child my Nan used to take me there and (probably because we didn’t have a lot of money) she used to buy me one scoop of vanilla icecream in a cone and would tell me as I licked it to look at the Isle of Wight across the sea, and imagine any flavour icecream and I’d taste it ! I really did believe I could aswell ! Ooh the innocence of youth and a vivid imagination meant I tasted the best flavour icecreams. Anyway thanks for reminding me of brilliant times spent with my fantastic Nan.

I had my best ice cream on holiday in Brazil, until I went on a boat and got sea sick for the 1st time in my life. Although was a great excuse to treat myself to another one the following day!!

On the last day of my holiday with my best friends. we stayed on the beach all night and had at least three ice creams each before catching our flight back to rainy England. Not a glamorous or overly exciting memory, but one i’ll cherish forever <3
