Here at Adorn HQ we are all excited about the launch of our A/W 2010 Jewellery Trends and new look online shop. We are constantly receiving news about new collaborations and exciting collections from innovative fashion jewellery and designer jewellery brands. Just last week, I received an email from Made UK the leading ethical jewellery brand, whose collaborations have included high profile celebrities and exclusive designer jewellers. I was thrilled to hear that Laura Bailey now joins the ranks of Alexa Chung and Pippa Small and is the latest to turn her passion to hands-on jewellery making. Her ‘Mingi’ necklace caught my eye and I thought this beautiful necklace would be the perfect adornment to ‘Nomad Chic’. Imagine layered clothes, chunky knits and shearling with Laura’s latest statement necklace.

We asked Laura to tell us more about the motivation behind her collaboration with Made UK.
"When MADE invited me to their Kenya workshop to design my first jewellery collection, I couldn’t wait to be involved in every step of the creative process, from sketches to selling. I was so inspired by my team there, who helped me to turn my doodles and daydreams into reality. I felt like a kid in a pick ‘n’ mix candy-store, casting, firing and beading. Every day I’d experiment with different colour patterns and reclaimed materials, working manically as the collection took shape.
