Grace Kelly’s grace and elegance were reflected both on screen and off and infact the lines between Kelly’s personal style were heavily blurred with the on-screen characters portrayed by the young actress. In most cases her characters mirrored the formal daywear she favoured at the height of her cinematic popularity in the mid-Fifties and her jewellery follows the same pattern. The fairytale princess’ style has inspired generations far beyond that of her own as she became synonymous with timeless sophistication and gave kudos to cascading rhinestone chandeliers and pearl chokers. We were inspired by a scene in ‘Rear Window’ in which she wears a multi-layered pearl cuff. Astley Clarke has one just like it.
