Duchess of Cambridge wearing the diamond Cartier ‘Trinity’ necklace
It’s all about open circles for the Duchess of Cambridge when it comes to her jewellery selection for various social events in the build up to and during the first week of the 2012 Olympics. At a Pre-Olympic event at the National Portrait Gallery, the Duchess wore a striking cobalt dress by Team GB wardrobe designer, Stella McCartney, teamed with the Trinity chain necklace by Cartier which boasts five diamond-encrusted rings seamlessly integrated within woven strands of rose, white and yellow gold.

With more focus on the ‘rings’, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a pair of diamond and blue topaz hoop earrings by Kiki McDonough to complement her pale blue coat dress by Christopher Kane to the Olympic Opening Ceremony reception hosted by Buckingham Palace. Obviously a firm favourite of hers, the Duchess was spotted again wearing the same delicate stone set, open circle hoop earrings; this time to an event supporting the UK’s Creative Industries, and wearing a lavender dress by Brit designer Roksanda Ilincic.
